Now this is a really nice app, however, there are problems with long song, artist or album names. If one of those is long enough to extend it to a second line, part of it is cut off, and everything that goes beyond even a second line does not appear at all.
You can find an example of that here:

The album name is, in actuality, more than double the length of what is displayed here.

If it's not just happening for me, it would be great if that could be fixed, because I have a lot of those slightly longer details. - Jul 20 2007

The path to silentjpg was still incorrect, at least for 1280x1024.
It read /etc/bootsplash/os_simple/images/[...],
however, it should be /etc/bootsplash/themes/os_simple/[...]. - Nov 19 2006

Thanks for mentioning that, I'll see what I can do.
I hope I can include it with the final version of the splash (which should be coming soon, if time allows it, of course. It's long overdue anyway) - Sep 28 2006
