The currently playing song appears when I choose the status "Media" in pidgin, but i doesn't appear as a status message on my msn account. Haven't tried other protocols but at least on msn it's not working! - Feb 10 2009

just saw your reply now... I did set up pidgin 2.5 since I understand it does the same that msn-pecan did for a older version of pidgin... But I can't see it's working, only the local alias changes, but not the status message or the nick...

It's msn that I have this problem with... The only place where I see the nick has changed is in conversations when I type something... If I go to Accounts»Choose a account»set friendly name I only see my old nick. I have added myself on my contact list and on my contact list I only see my old unchanged nick. - Aug 03 2008
