Equinox Ubuntu Packages (32 bits)

GTK2 Themes by tiheum 37 comments

Can't open or extract the archive:

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

It's the 5th time I'm trying to download the file...

And I can't compile from source, since ./configure returns "configure: error: GTK+-2.10 is required to compile equinox"

I had installed libgtk2.0-dev prior to that. (Ubuntu 10.04 32bits) - Apr 30 2010

This theme is clearly underrated...

This is the best light theme I've come across so far, and I've been serching them for a while.

I've tried a lot of themes, bt in the end I'm always coming back to this one...

It's just great. - Jan 05 2010

Humanity Pidgin

Pidgin by MastroPino 12 comments

Still doesn't work...

Do you know where the original icons are located ? So I can directly change them.

SVN version is too unstable on my system anyway, I'm considering downgrading to the original repo version. - Nov 22 2009
Humanity Pidgin

Pidgin by MastroPino 12 comments

Okay, thanks a lot for the repo...

However, now I've got the menu in the interface...

But although Humanity is selected, it doesn't seem to apply, even after restarting pidgin or the whole GNOME session...

It seems the lines in prefs.xml stays default.

And if I try to manually edit prefs.xml to force humanity theme, It changes back to default after restarting pidgin... - Nov 21 2009

Pidgin by MastroPino 12 comments

This looks nice, but where can I select the theme in Pidgin ?

I extracted and moved the 'Humanity' folder into ~/.purple/themes/ but where in the pidgin interface can you change the theme ?

I still have the default theme... - Nov 21 2009

At last I get a theme that is both great looking but quite sober at the same time.

However the "text bar" cursor is badly centered which makes it inconvenient to use.
Any chance you could fix that ? - Nov 12 2009

Is it a line in UserChrome.css ?

This is a great script, but I'm trying to convert ogg files to mp3 (for compatibility with portable device) and I only get 64kbits/sec output...

Is it possible to change the output, by editing a line in the script ?

Note: I tried this applet, and the problem is that it displays not only USB volumes, but any volume whose mount point is neither '/' nor '/home'.

Which means for example, my backup partition, whose mount point is /backup will always appear. And there's no way getting rid of it. (Except by manually altering the code, which I cannot do by myself) - Sep 06 2008

You're welcome! :)

Another idea,

When there is only one USB volume detected, what about not displaying the mounted volume list but just a question box:
"Are you sure you want to unmount '$mount'"?

If No (or cancel) is clicked, then come back to the list... - Sep 06 2008

Nice idea not displaying that "Another device" window when obviously useless.

And Great idea adding the possibility of changing icons according to each device.

I noticed that notification messages do not display on my system.

I assumed it was linked to the 'notify-send' package which you mentionned as dependecy.

However, neither Synaptic nor aptitude search would find it :(

I needed something like that since I've been working with 'show_desktop' off and I wanted a convenient way to unmount my USB volumes.

Keep up.

This is the emerald decoration.

You need compiz activated and emarld installed.

Beryl/Emerald Themes by metak 1 comment

Hi! It's me again! :p

Well it's too bad GTK won't stretch the background pixmap while Emerald does. I think this ruins the association of both GTK & emerald themes.

However this one is very nice as well.
I personally switched it to vrunner since I removed the background pixmap from the GTK theme, and it looks great.

Note:
- You might want to add colors to (all) buttons, it is sad having just the minimize/restore button to get colored when hovered. - Jul 17 2008

GTK2 Themes by metak 6 comments

This does not work.

Actually, the panel interference is due to the backgroung pixmap of windows, which I think is not very useful since GTK does not stretch but tiles background images on classic windows.

I edited the line
bg_pixmap[NORMAL]="linktoimage.png"
to
bg[NORMAL]="#RRGGBB"
To have a GTK-defined color as a background instead of an image.
I now have perfect panel transparency.

I almost forgot, weird thing:
In Firefox, the text of hovered menu items appears cyan, while it's the correct color everywhere else (nautilus, exaile, gnome panel etc)
Why is that ? Any Idea?
NB: Firefox 2.0.0.15 (I don't like FF3 :p), no skin used, except for the default ff skin of course.

Good Job again, love the menu! - Jul 17 2008

I quite like it, I must say, buttons & menus look great.

However there are 2 things that could be modified:
- Sometimes text is hard to read (especially in selected tabs)
- pixmaps interfere with my transparent gnome-panel making it ugly :D

And if you ever made it colorable, it would be awesome :D

Nicely done, rated good. - Jul 16 2008

I like it, as I finally abandonned the cube for exclusive Expo use, I tried your background and it looks great in grayscale on my black and white theme.

But how do you get you expo view to bend?
This looks great and I see no such options in ccsm...

Please let me know :D - Jul 12 2008
