Any chance of a higher quality render and larger size? - Mar 02 2007

Personally I don't like it in the sense that I wouldn't use it, but that's no reason to vote it down. It's one of the most original and innovative window decorations i've seen in a long time and stands up as having a heck of a lot more merit than 27 versions of the same theme signed off as "different" and voted up because the author changed the opacity level by 2%.
That's not to knock those things, I wouldn't vote those down either, but really, your work shouldn't be getting the voting down that it is doing.
Keep up the good work m8. As long as you like it, that's enough. - Jan 30 2007

Fonts used are AdineKirnberg-S Ultra-Light & Space Age. I'm just heading out or i'd link them but they should be findable with a search. Let me know if they aren't and i'll have a look through my fonts folders to see where I got them.
Cheers

In relation to something someone previously mentioned, i'm not sure whether or not Linux is symbolized by soft porn, but I think purity and uncorrupted nature could. In that sense I think one way to look at it is the difference between naturism and sof porn pictures as found in many uk national papers, whilst one can be said to have the intention of expressing freedom, the other is more obviously intent on titilation (npi).
I think therefore this could be classed as either art or erotica, soft porn if you so wished, but has validity as a statement depending on how you wish to interpret it. The same could of course be said for the works of rubens or patrick lichfield, or some guy with a camera in his front room. As long as it doesn't risk offending minors by being any more overt that an average daily paper then personally, and imho, decency is maintained. - Jun 30 2005

The concept for the icons I really like. I like the glass effect on many icon styles but, similarly to the way I use Linux so I don't really want my desktop looking like a mac. I use Gentoo so don't want it looking like Linspire.
Many of the icons are still branded Linspire or lindows, even with the changelog saying Linspire elements removed and for me that makes it unusable.
I really hope he does release a straight "kde" set because they're great icons. - Jun 24 2005

Once you extract the tarball it's apparent that the theme is "linspire clear" rather than "kde clear" and things like konqueror, the kmenu, etc, are going to be rebranded but for the sake of re-naming the tarball to the same as the folder inside, it would give a great deal more clarity about what to expect.
They aren't "crystal clear" as the tarball suggests, they are "linspire clear". Pedantic I know, but there you have it. - Jun 23 2005

Tbh that one thing stops me from using them as it would take quite a while to hack the icons (for personal use alone) to remove it.
Great work, sorry for the criticism. - Jun 23 2005

Yep, same problem here with the icons not registering although i've got a couple of other problems i'm sorting out with kde atm so it may be related to one of those, if I findout i'll post.
Other than that, nice idea m8, cheers :) I love the graphite icons and they're always the first thing to go on when I do an install but the .buildset has always detered me from trying the others (i'm lazy and happy enough with graphite really) so this is a perfect way to try them all out. - May 02 2005

Glad you like them :) The icons are some that I made to go with the wallpaper but I haven't distributed them since they are essentially just noia warm icons batch converted onto a 70x70 disc background that uses a gradient fill and then the whole lot batched resized to 64x64.
There are some similar ones available at gentoo.org which were created by Port001 and since these icons are just an adaptation of that original idea and Noia it wouldn't be right to take any credit or release them as my own. - Feb 22 2003
