Sorry, I've just realised this is a known fault with uic from qt 3.3.5. Sorry for the noise. - Nov 28 2005

I'm trying to build yesterday's snapshot but get the following error:

Wouldn't it be better to check whether a suitable version of libk3bdevice is already installed. Installing this application would have downgraded the version on my system, had I not noticed you are providing an earlier version than I have installed. - Nov 02 2005

I'm trying to build 0.6.4 but I get:

g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/opt/kde3/include -I/usr/lib/qt3/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_REENTRANT -Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -pedantic -W -Wpointer-arith -Wwrite-strings -ansi -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -Wchar-subscripts -DNDEBUG -DNO_DEBUG -O2 -O3 -march=i386 -fno-strength-reduce -Wformat-security -Wmissing-format-attribute -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fno-common -c -o kamix.o `test -f 'kamix.cpp' || echo './'`kamix.cpp
kamix.cpp: In member function `void kamix::updateTrayTip()':
kamix.cpp:364: error: `dB' undeclared (first use this function)
kamix.cpp:364: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for
each function it appears in.)
make[2]: *** [kamix.o] Error 1

KMixerItem is enclosed in an #ifdef/#endif pair in KMixerItem.h but not at the point where the compile error occurs. I'm not sure how to patch though because the code seems to expect dB to be valid when t == 2. - Oct 27 2005

The KDE binary path is also hardcoded as /usr/bin when it's /opt/kde3/bin on some distros. KDEDIR and QTDIR are usually in the environment on KDE systems. Also, the about dialogue box shows this realease as 0.92beta. - Jun 24 2005

I think this has something to do with changes made to ffmpeg recently. I'm using the 20050508 snapshot. - Jun 15 2005

Hi,

Which version of ImageMagick do we need, please? I am getting:

Sorry, don't know what happened to the rest of my posting above, or why what has survived has been posted twice. Anyway, I was trying to say that the code block that begins with the snippet that remains above appears to be truncating prodId to 4 chars when it is already less than 4 chars long, but padding it to 4 chars when it is already longer than 4!! - Oct 17 2004

I've never programmed in Ruby but this code (from descUSB.rb) looks wrong to me:

The targets clean-bcheck, bcheck and bcheck-am appear in the top-level Makefile twice and produce:

Makefile:814: warning: overriding commands for target `clean-bcheck'
Makefile:777: warning: ignoring old commands for target `clean-bcheck'
Makefile:819: warning: overriding commands for target `bcheck-am'
Makefile:782: warning: ignoring old commands for target `bcheck-am'
