I've had a new version in work a while, held up by my non-existent drawing ability. This version is easier to tweak.

Try 2.1 - it just needs just one image (full moon). The image needs to be square with an even number of pixels per side, and the disk of the moon needs to touch each side of the image. Put the file into the data directory and edit LunaIcon.qml to match. (selecting an image file might become a config item sometime). - May 07 2017
