I had the exact same problem. I was going to write you an email with the output of OpenOffice so you could investigate. Since I had already deleted the config folder to make sure OO would still start normally, I reran your program to mess it up again so I could get output. (Un?)Fortunately, the error no longer occurs! Apparently just running it twice did the trick. So I have no output for you, but I have a much more consistent look and feel thanks to you :) - Jul 24 2003

Just got this installed, and it's awesome! I was wondering how difficult it would be to implement an idea of mine. How bouts when you click on an icon, it gets depressed for a second, and then becomes zoomed again. I would find this helpful just so that I know it was actually clicked, so I don't open two konqueror's when I only wanted one. - Apr 26 2003

If you set the kdePath variable (and you'll also want to do this with the iconPath variable) in "Files/RoundBar.conf" then it will work. For instance, I added the two lines as follows:

kdePath="/opt/kde3"
iconPath="~/.kde/share/icons/crystal"

You might need to change the resX and resY settings as well, to reflect your monitor. Mine had to be adjusted to 1280 and 1024.

After these changes, it works like a charm.

I have RH 7.3, and make install installed it to /usr/local/kde. KDE is by default in RH /usr, so I just made a symlink from /usr to /usr/local/kde, and then ran "make install" in kfireworks. However, it still doesn't appear in the kcontrol menu. - Sep 09 2002

I like the idea. The only thing I would suggest is this. The lights seem kind of foggy, like there's smoke or something in the air, yet the structure is stiff and straight. I think if the structure appeared to be in fog, it'd blend a bit better. - Aug 18 2002

I think it's quite unique. I'd personally like to see the pyramid rotated a bit, so we see more of a corner. That would make it pop out just a bit more and get rid of the flat look. - Aug 06 2002
