one thing, on the very latest murrine svn, it doesn't work because of a small problem. the "style" line in the gtkrc causes it to break for some reason. remove that and it's fine. - Nov 04 2008

It is better if you can tell which is focused. I dont know how this could be fixed because i tried transparency and making the text lighter on inactive windows didn't look that good, but I think I'd probably use this theme if it weren't for that. I really like the transparent panels that get out of your way. One thing though, with the ubuntulooks engine the buttons of the active window in the panel look kinda wierd because there is a frame around the button on a transparent background. it isn't this way for pretty much any other engine. Maybe if you used clearlooks or murrine just in the panel it would look better? Just a thought. Either way, i can tell you have a natural ability for the themeing because this theme really appeals to my senses. it's "intuitive" if you will :) - Sep 10 2008

In a theme that has offscreen scrolling you can have a maximized window in firefox and move your mouse all the way to the side of the screen on the right and click and be able to drag even though your mouse is not fully on the scrollbar. this way you have to click on the scrollbar before you can drag. It's just much easier and faster with offscreen scrolling and all of your previous themes until now have had it working. - Sep 03 2008

Also, I personally think that you should make a panel background that is the current color of the default but is slightly transparent. This will make it look cooler and decrease the clutter that all the window list buttons make. It looks better if the only outlined button is the active one on the panel IMO. - Aug 31 2008

ONE THING THOUGH! the inactive borders are a different color! I don't think this should be. I'm guessing you did this because the inactive borders are a little bit transparent with the gwd borders and compiz, but I urge you to change it to the same color becase the transparency can be turned off for inactive windows:
Just go to configuration editor>gwd and make the metacity_theme_opacity value 1.
Also, we need to find a way to make the close button bigger like the emerald theme. - Aug 31 2008

there are two of the things i noticed. the emerald theme still doesn't look perfect to me. I think it should be a solid color even on the sides for the inactive window. - Aug 27 2008
one place where a theme problem happens is in the panel properties window. The "Orientation" dropdown box is white-on- white invisible. I'm sure there are similar problems elsewhere . Also, in Banshee music-player, the mouseover for seeing what is playing is black on dark color. In general, in menus the unselected text should be grey not black because then you CAN"T read it if you want to. - Aug 27 2008

Number 1: The highlighting of the address bar in Firefox 3 isn't right. The background of the highlight is white instead of the color of the theme. Basically, highlighting the addressbar acts differently than highlighting elsewhere in the theme.
Number 2: In Alacarte menu editor, if you choose to change an icon, the drop down menu for different locations for icons has white text on white background.
I know these aren't vital things (especially the second) but if you can fix them, it would really add polish to the theme. Great work so far! - Aug 14 2008

about the menus, I think they'll look best dark rather than light.
A thicker border that is resizeable is OK as long as it doesn't look like it's there--like clearlooks. If you can figure that out then I'm all for the thicker border. The borderless look is very clean and nice looking though, so try to maintain that.
Just thought I'd tell you about the icon thing in case you hadn't noticed. keep up the work! - Aug 10 2008

Also, I mentioned it earlier, but have you noticed that with the dark panel background the blue square in the menu icon seems shrunken becuase the outline of it blends in with the panel? I guess this could be fixed by lightening the outline of the blue square, but it's up to you. Don't forget about this theme! - Aug 09 2008
