It's a set of functions and stuff, to modify your bash, you can se a "pimped" bash prompt in the screenshot. Besides it also contains a graphical setup tool.

You can read the docs for more infos (documentation/index.html in the tarball) - Mar 08 2010

Yes, I'm usually not writing manpages for my projects, but this little thing seems it can bring to write them now. :)

Uploaded packages for 0.0.6. - Aug 13 2013
You can find debian packages for i386/amd64 here:

http://apt.nanolx.org/index.php?dir=pool%2Fmain%2Fm%2Fmanpageeditor%2F

Since it only has minimal dependencies (gtk+, gtksourceview, aspell) those packages are likely to work on any recent debian-based distribution (ubuntu, aptosid, kanotix etc) - Aug 09 2013

That is not that important, either way:

You need a gpg key for that. Create one via Seahorse.

Name of the key must be:

"Name Familyname <emailaddress>"

keep the < > characters, afterwards open debian/changelog and replace my string inthe last line "Christopher Bratusek <emailaddress>" (keep the rest of the line. and now rebuild. - Nov 13 2008

BTW: The Next version will also be fully compatible to KDE4 (thus you could use the theme in both KDE and GNOME applications). - Jan 19 2011
Of course there will be a new version.

I just can't say, when it will occur. It is planned to add configurability back (you know the script hydroxygen uses was originally written by me for OxygenRefit 1).

If you have any suggestions, feel free to ask. - Jan 16 2011
Next version will have a small and a large tarball. Wait until this weekend. - Jul 21 2010
Like I've already stated in the ChangeLog, this version explicitly only shipps the 128x128 icons, for faster up/downloading.

You need to create the the other sizes on your own:

- unpack tarball
- cd into the new directory
- ./buildallsizes.sh*

* requires imagemagick to be installed

NOW install the theme. - Jan 02 2010

As promised there's now an pre-compiled binary (for i386) - Aug 03 2010
OK. Nice that you got it working.

The git command creates an directory called "terranova", you "cd" into it, run "./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr" _instead_ of configure.

You already got that far, but: you missed one thing:

"make" _before_ "make install"

besides, you can remove the self-build one via "make uninstall", packages as usual via your package-manager.

The reason why there's no package, is pretty simple: GIT is in-development. It will take about 1 or 2 weeks until the final v0.50 is beeing released. - Jul 19 2010
1) You need nautilus-elementary (bzr checkout lp:nautilus-elementary and install from source then)

I believe I made a misstake in the Makefile.am from 0.50~pre1 which doesn't install the breadcrumb stuff, so checkout the git of TN via:

git clone git://git.tuxfamily.org/gitroot/terranova/terranova.git

2) That's because of firefox' widget abstraction -- I'll check wether I can find a solution.

3) open the gtkrc and search for "gtk-small-toolbar" or "gtk-large-toolbar"

Besides, I'm glade someone else likes it, too :D

If you have any suggestion, then please let me know. - Jul 18 2010
Umm, well do you have the package libgtk2.0-dev installed? If not, that's causing the error. - Aug 02 2009
hmm, strange.

Well, install autoconf, automake, m4, libtool (if not already installed) and use ./autogen.sh instead of ./configure - Aug 01 2009
You didn't do anything you need to excuse for. TerraNova is a continuation of Excelsior which will get better with each release. (next release will squash all gtk-warnings about wrong radius and will make it compile with -Wall -ansi)

Also currently only one style is available (not 5 like in Excelsior), therefore I concentrate on that one and once it's finished, I'll add the text one and do the same there.

May take some time, but it's ok. - Jun 07 2009
Personally I like the Invert-Effect on Buttons & Co in 0.20 ^_^

... And that Qt4 Apps adopt the TerraNova look :) - Jun 04 2009
Well, if you would have had a look at my account, you would have known, that they are both mine :)

Either way, TerraNova is an approach to improve Excelsior (and a lot of changes have been done meanwhile), while not all are user-visible.

Any comments? ^_^ - Jun 04 2009

Well I also noticed that issue with some apps, additonaly if you expand and GtkExpander and then un-expand it, fractals are left over. Of course if you could fix it from GTK+'s side it would be great :)

Also you don't have to worry about Cairo's speed. I run GtkPerf with Excelsior 4.0 and Clearlooks 2.24 and Excelsior (with that bg-gradient, random-effects & co) was not slower than Clearlooks, nope even a bit faster, so Cairo is ready to go. - Aug 14 2009
What do you want to patch in gtk+ exactly? In the Screenshots I can't see anything that would require it (glossy Toolbar/MainWindow gradient are two things I already did), so what is that fancy new thing you want to bring to us? :) - Aug 12 2009

This is really cute, could you also make one for firefox? Would be nice. Forget those Down-Voters, 70% of them are just unhappy about the fact they are not able to create original artwork. But this is nothing new on gnome-look, sadly. - Aug 10 2009

*sorry* for the early reply, but I totally forgot about splashy-creator on kde-look.org T_T

* Apps which are directly related to artwork (SplashyCreator, Screenlets etc) are allowed here

* Checkbuttons do now behave normal

* May add Tooltips in the next release

* With the 3.0 codebase it will be much easier to add the option for editing existing themes, but don't expect early reulsts

* Theme Destination may be variable in the next release, using the new introduced rc-file - Jul 26 2009

>> good idea, the problem i am currently facing is using gtk_icon_theme without limiting the user in using a custom icon.

you may check if user set an icon, if not use gtk_icon_theme, you could then setup an empty function for it, like

set_icon(blah, icon-name)
{
if (user_set blah)

else (blah)
} - May 24 2009
not bad. two suggestions:

- make use if gtk_icon_theme instead of hardcoding paths
- make use of a config file instead of hardcoding it

... I would help you, if you it was in python :) - May 24 2009
