Though this is sadly missing with KDE (the ability, for example, to open up your /usr/share/backgrounds folder and take out one or two naff wallpapers, making dolphin do things you otherwise must do in terminal...

This just didn't work for me. I browsed to /usr/share and selected 'open as root', entered password and ...... NOTHING happened. - May 26 2020

I open in Visual Studio Code, duplicate the theme(copy) and apply it, open the theme css then look for colors (in 'code' there's a colour preview next to colour entries to make it easier).

Edit one colour, save, change theme to preview - then go back, try the next one... use Gpick to choose the element of colour from an icon theme you want to use for hilight etc.) - Mar 18 2019

Actually not - but I find that the metacity-1 folder from Equilux does actually work and inherit the window colour - same grey for this, same bluish grey for 'Nordic' etc. - Mar 07 2019

Not for Mint - the Mint-Y-Dark metacity will update to match the colour of the Mint-Y-Dark(colour) themes. With your themes, the metacity borders don't inherit colours and they're always darker than the window. - Mar 06 2019
