Could you consider drawing the progress bar using an alpha mask and thus dropping the surrounding background? ATM it looks like this if a progress bar is used in a window with fully transparent background:

http://www2.htw-dresden.de/~s58136/equinox_progressbar.png

As you can see the background is drawn since the engine only expects progress bars to be placed in places with fully visible background. - Aug 23 2010

You should have written what bug you are experiencing. I for myself see a white menu background where it should have the panel background image instead, as it seems to me.

To fix this, add the following two lines to your menubar.rc just before the pixmap engine settings:

bg_pixmap[NORMAL] = "Menu-Menubar/menubar.png"
bg_pixmap[INSENSITIVE] = "Menu-Menubar/menubar.png"

Your last change (0.3) made it worse, please return to the previous version. - Aug 03 2007
Just in case someone wants to change the button style, change these two linies in the gtkrc:

widget_class "*Tool*GtkToggleButton" style "toolbuttons"
widget_class "*Tool*GtkButton" style "toolbuttons"

to those:

widget_class "*Tool*GtkToggleButton" style "button"
widget_class "*Tool*GtkButton" style "button"

It really looks much better this way, IMO. - Aug 02 2007
> If it is a xfce4-panel,

Yeah, it is.

> then that is why I use a gnome-panel instead.

Too bad. I don’t want to use gnome-panel.

> I have problems with xfce4-panel when I use a pixmap background as you can see from your screenshot. You can try xfapplet on a xfce4-panel so that you will be able to use gnome applets.

I don’t use gnome-applets either … - Jul 29 2007
> Can you be more specific?

Well, the background of the menu bar and the background of the panel are not on the same position. Thus, they don’t arrange cleanly. - Jul 29 2007
Can you make something about this?

My bad: I actually did so, but forgot to change PREFIX to /usr; the engine obviously could not be found in /usr/local. But thanks anyway, it works now.

BTW: Did you receive my mail(s)? - May 04 2007
Is this engine supposed to work with GTK 2.10? I upgraded from 2.8 now and my Murrina looks pretty weird; the interface looks like GTK1.x but with the correct colors. Other engines don’t seem to suffer from the upgrade. - May 04 2007

How did you compile the dock? If i run make, I only get the following:

make: Nothing to be done for `all'.

If I look at configure.scan, it tells me to process it with autoconf, but how? Neither just calling it nor calling it with configure.scan as argument does do the trick. - Jan 02 2007

Well, if it’s the latter, it’s not that difficult:

Open the preferred icon (SVG if possible), enlarge the margin to the bottom, copy the icon and turn this copy around 180°. Then put a gradient on that „shadow“ with Transparent as ending color.

There you go. - Nov 03 2006
