If I try to download, I still get a package called version 0.0.2, instead of 0.0.3. Is that a faulty name, or do I actually get an outdated package? - Aug 02 2008

Various KDE Stuff by javierllorente 51 comments

The last one did not work at all for me (see comments above), and the one before that did not work very well either. Does this one actually run? I am very keen to really try out KDE 4, but it so far this live CD has not really made that happen for me. - Dec 12 2007
KDE Four Live

Various KDE Stuff by javierllorente 51 comments

By the way: the previous live CD *did* run KDE, although not well. I was hoping to see improvement at that front so I could really get a taste of KDE 4, but it seems I wasted another CD. - Dec 06 2007

I am having serious problems with the just downloaded version 0.7.2. I am seeing lots of errormessages about invalid ELF headers, including for the X11 libs. This results in X not starting, and thus, no KDE. KDM startup resulted in error code 127, I believe. - Dec 06 2007

Wallpaper Other by chandraiitk 9 comments

Beautifull picture, but IMHO not suited as a wallpaper. It is way to bussy for that. Sorry. - Sep 07 2007

I installed using the GUI installer for user only on Kubuntu, but I'm not getting the ISO service menu. Other than that, it works great! Thanks for a nice tool. - Aug 08 2007

I find the layout of the filesystem part to be quite confusing. The name of the file system is below the space heading, and the space is below the free space heading. The free space has no heading. That is confusing, and should be fixed, I think. - Jul 29 2007

Amarok 1.x Scripts by browner 41 comments

What a crap argument. It's still for GNOME on a KDE website. If Amarok can't find it if not posted here, adapt Amarok instead of bothering KDE users with GNOME stuff. Nothing against GNOME, but I don't see why it should be advertised on a KDE website. - Jun 29 2007

Wouldn't it be easier to create this as a service menu for use from Konqueror? Just like you can extract archives from the right menu button? - Dec 29 2006

Dolphin Service Menus by pedrotux 5 comments

What does this do, exactly? Could you give some more info to what this adds to the standard way KDE handles removable media? Searching didn't yield much besides lots of references to paths and pieces of code, but no real page on what any of the scripts or components you mention actually do. - Nov 28 2006
Improved close button (mockup)

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by kukling 10 comments

Is it really that hard for you to distinguish between the close and the minimize button? If I click close, I'd like a window to actually close, thank you very much. If I wanted it to minimize, I would have clicked that button. Introducing a double click just sucks. Why make it that hard to close a window?

If you make the mistake of often choosing the wrong button, why don't you change the layout of your buttons so the mistake isn't so easy to make? - Nov 19 2006
global keyboard shortcuts to control volume (idea)

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by warrob 10 comments

...really, you can already do this. No need for new applications, Just right-click on the master sound mixer in your taskbar and choose "configure global shortcuts". - Sep 30 2006

...does thing thing do? The screenshots tell me nothing really, and I am not able to read the text in the dialogs. Maybe a bit of explanation of what it is we're seeing here would be helpfull. - Jul 09 2006

It would be nice if this were integrated with the KDE addressbook, so you don't have to enter names, phone numbers and pictures twice. - Jan 28 2006

Karamba & Superkaramba by ntesa 24 comments

I really like the clock, but I was very much taken aback by it's huge CPU usage. On my system, it takes about 5% (Athlon XP1600+). Frankly, I think that is way to much for such a simple application. - Oct 20 2004

System Software by zogje 21 comments

IMO, you just need to make the UI look like a normal KDE application. Frankly, I think the rather childlike graphic is looking very unprofessional, not what you'd expect at all for an application geared towards use in professional environments. - Apr 30 2004
