Yea, buddy, I'll take a burn in hell theme. Make one for yourself too since we'll be seeing each other in hell...

Sorry, but this is dumb. Why would anyone waste their time making an M$ splash screen? If you like M$ that much, why not just use it?

Plus, you have successfully infringed on M$ copyright on the logo's, etc...

Good luck. - May 07 2007

Great plugin. Been using it for about a year now since 3.3.. Works great!!!

Please try to get it into KDE future releases as this is 1000 times better than the stock pager... - Dec 22 2005
Sorry.. I mean pager, not kicker.... - Aug 18 2004
I just compiled this kicker against 3.3.0-rc2 and it works perfect. Give it a shot. - Aug 18 2004
This is exactly what I wanted. "Kpager" in the panel. Much better than the mundane default kicker pager.

I think this would be a good replacement for the current default pager. - Jul 27 2004

IMAP Plugin

Ok. For starters, the current IMAP Plugin does not support SSL, which I didn't quite realize until recently. As I write this, I'm updating the plugin to include SSL support however, there seems to be a bug with either the Mail-IMAPClient or IO-Socket-SSL perl modules. While i've gotten it to authenticate, it returns 0 for everything.... Not quite sure what's up...

Any ideas? Give me a hollar at as I don't check this board on a regular basis.... - Nov 30 2005

It would be nice if you would provide a tar.gz archive as this is what the kde splash screen control panel module requires.

If you want to count all new mail from all directories with some exections, you can use this code:

foreach my $f ($imap->folders)
if ( $f ne "INBOX.Spam" )
$i = $i + $imap->unseen_count($f);

You can probably create an array if there is more than one folder you don't want to count... - Apr 04 2005
Thanks. This is what I needed as I'm migrating to imap completely!!!!

VERY easy to implement into ANY other theme! - Apr 04 2005

How is this a bug? This is entirely a sessions issue. If you want to launch ANY program at KDE start (using autostart), you *MUST* start with a clean session. Otherwise, each KDE start will initiate an additional pid for whatever program(s) were still running when KDE was shut down. So, if you had 4 karamaba pid, your next start will add 1 and the next will add 1, so on, so forth.

Also, making a desktop entry doesn't work for everyone. I still have to use a bash script.

Just food for thought. - Aug 11 2004

Ooops. I apologize for starting a new topic.

In troubleshooting liquid weather, it appears that it was working all along. Which is what I found to be queer because while there was always a liquid weather proccess, I could not visually see it.

It turns out that liquid weater was starting but somehow, the themes startup position changed and placed the applet underneath the taskbar. =\

Anyways, sorry for the hassle. hehe. - May 29 2004
Flat-Weather works fine out of the box. Liquid weather does not. - May 29 2004
So, I decided to reload the theme (ctrl-r) and apperantly, this busted the script. I looked at liquid_weather.theme and it seems incomplete:

KARAMBA X=754 Y=525 W=250 H=200 INTERVAL=3600000 LOCKED=true

... is all that is in the file. I can't remember if this has always been. Comparing this file to others (such as cclock), it seems to be missing content. I then download your new version only to have the same exact issue. What's wrong? All my other scripts work fine.. except this one...

Is there a support forum around? Seems is unavailable. - May 29 2004
