Win7 Show Desktop

Plasma 5 Applets by Zren 39 comments

I would give this a 10/10 if you intend to use it exactly as one would the desktop peek button in Windows. I love this widget, I'm glad I found it, but there's a couple things which I would love to see added (such as choosing whether the peek button has a border on left or right in the gui configuration menu). I love that I can make the button run any command, so i have it configured to show my desktop grid – no more extra wide pagers taking up screen space! I wish it were also possible to assign any command to the hover option. But if all you want is a tool that does one thing only and one thing well, this is it. - Nov 29 2020

One of the things i miss the most from Mac was the Mission Control multitasking manager, and this fills that role perfectly. On older hardware, the framerate slowed down to a chug, but when I installed it on a macbook pro 8,1 it worked beautifully. There's a few things that would be nice to include, like the inclusion of application launcher panels and whatnot, and also the ability to configure moving between desktops with libinput gestures, but those don't detract from the excellent work here. I look forward to this project's development. - Nov 13 2020
