wmf-converter.desktop was created in direct response to the appearance of the WMF-Thumbnail-Plugin for Konqueror by Heiko Schaefer.
Being able to preview .wmf files actually created the possibility that they could be useful in linux apps.
wmf-converter uses the wmf2svg and wmf2eps commands from libwmf.
It creates scalable *.eps or *.svg output files in the same directory as the selected *.wmf input files.
