Description:

I didn't really like the FreeBSD bootscreens out there. So I made my own.

The .xcf I used to make it is included, so if you don't like it you can easily fix it.

One thing to keep in mind if you do choose to customize it is that exporting directly from a multilayer rgb xcf to a 256-color pcx in gimp seems to completely undermine any interesting or nice effects you may have had going with the layers. export it to something else first, then index it, _then_ export to pcx.

The black-and-white FreeBSD logo came from http://www.freebsd.org/logo.html.
The text is in Liberation Sans Bold.

If you're unfamiliar with setting up a bootscreen, you can consult this useful guide from BSD Guides: http://www.bsdguides.org/guides/freebsd/misc/splash_screen.php
