PRO-Dark-XFCE-Edition
Made by paulxfce
A clear and easy-on-the-eyes theme that is meant for those who use the XFCE/Gnome-desktop professionally on a daily basis. The focus in this theme is compatibility: GTK-2 applications and GTK-3 applications look virtually the same. Libre-office, Scribus, Evolution, Geary, Planner, GnuCash, LaTeXila, Geany, the Gimp, Inkscape,...
Chrome, firefox, Web and Opera have no issues with this theme.
About the looks, you will notice some Elementary-theme, Arc-theme and Gnome-OSX, in a darker version.
This is a XFCE-interpretation of my gnome-theme PRO-Dark-GTK.
IMPORTANT:
There are 3 versions available:
PRO-Dark-XFCE-Edition-I is the older XFCE-D-PRO which works fine with thunar below version 1.8
PRO-Dark-XFCE-Edition-II is the newer up-to-date version that requires Thunar 1.8 or above
PRO-Dark-XFCE-Edition 4.14 is an update to the newer XFCE-DE and GTK 3.22 up until GTK 3.34
How to install:
Download the theme,
Just copy the extracted file to a '.themes'-folder you make in your home directory.
Then use Appearance/ Window-manager to select the Style.
LOG OUT AND BACK IN for changes to take full effect !
The standard XFWM-windowmanager is used as the compositor, With the following specific settings in the Window Manager Tweaks:
- display compositing enabled.
- Synchronize drawing to the vertical blank enabled.
- Show shadows under dock windows enabled.
Opacity of popup windows is set more to the left (more transparency): this gives the translucency under the drop down-menu's. You can move the layer more to the left for more transparency.
Comments
Please comment if you see things broken, or want differently. I will post fixes as soon as possible.
