deKorator is a themable window decorator for KDE SC 4.x.
You can find over 160 deKorator themes here: http://www.kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=21. Additionally, many KDE 3.2+ theme packages include deKorator themes.
The Copyright holder is the original author (Moty Rahamim), I ported it to KDE4, as is allowed per GPL 2+ license. For his KDE3 version, see http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/deKorator?content=31447.
Please use the "Report Bug" help menu item to report bugs and wishes for future versions.
Notes:
* To install a theme, the file must be named "NAME-theme.tar.gz" and contain "deco", "buttons", and "masks" directories inside the "NAME-theme" directory. deKorator 0.5 no longer offers a "Paths" tab to set theme paths individually. If a theme does not install, please report this to the author of the theme..
* I do no longer provide binary packages, most distributions already ship deKorator. Ask them to update.
* To install from source, you need cmake, kdebase-workspace-dev, and libqimageblitz-dev (or similary named). Additionally, you must have the KDE 4 binaries in your path. Use
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/lib/kde4/bin/
cd dekorator-0.5.1
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix`
make
sudo make install
* deKorator is developed in KDE's git repository, see https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/artwork/dekorator

Thanks for this, although I didn't use it before, I'd like to try it on KDE4 since there are few native window decorations atm.
Anyway, I've installed it and it appears on system settings, but I can't for the life of me install any themes. Where should they go? Tried .kde4/... and even in .kde (my 3.5 home path), but no theme appears in the list.
Any tips? Thanks!

1. Unpack theme to a permanent location (standard is .kde/share/apps/deKorator/themes/)
2. Go to "Paths" page in deKorator configuration
3. Pick "deco", "buttons", and "masks" directories from unpacked theme
4. Hit Apply
I will improve theme installation in a future version.

First, I love the Sculpture theme, one of the very first and best theme for my native KDE 4.
Second, I really appreciate you giving out the rpm package as I primarily use Fedora and even though I am comfortable in compiling and things, I would still prefer a pre-built binary for reasons of my own.
Thanks. Please do provide the same in future too.
I will get back after some testing. Cheers.

Looks like a deKorator 0.1 theme, so you need the porting script to convert it, the script is in the deKorator source archive.

thanx for writing deKorator! I'm trying to make an mwm/cde style window decoration. I want to have the buttons and title bar colorized in the current color scheme's colors. It seems to work fine for the title bar, window borders and button background, but the buttons themselves dont seem to colorize. 1) when I disable 'colorize buttons' the buttons appear in the color of the png file, as they should 2) when I enable 'colorize buttons' the buttons appear grey, independent of the color scheme i pick. So they don't seem to colorize, but appear in a single grey color... helpppp....

First of all thaank you to working on this port!
But - sorry if I'm noob - it doesn't works for me :S
I recently switched to kde with the hardy release of ubuntu, and now I using intrepid with kde4. Now I compiled your port, it's appeared in the theme list of kwin. I never used deKorator before, so maybe I did something wrong, but I selected it, went to the themes tab in deKorator configuration, installed a theme, selected it in the list and pushed the apply button... And my window decorations disappeared... :( I tryed it with three themes so I don't think if the theme is the bad thing... Maybe I am... :S
So please help me! :)

Regarding porting Domino themes: I hope to have some legacy domino_*rc settings import in Skulpture, at least for colors and gradients.
