as for red/orange scroll bars change that your mention. May not be bad ideal on this theme to change or give a option. I feel same.

Congratulations for the theme: it's exactly what I was looking for! Unfortunately, I'm having troubles installing it: despite both gtk2-engines and gtk2-engines-clearlooks are installed, the theme looks very bad on my system.
I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) without 3d acceleration: can anyone please give me a hand?

P.S.: Sorry for my poor English...

Make sure you have "gtk2-engines-pixbuf" installed and also the latest gtk2-engines (>=1:2.12.1)

The latest gtk2-engines is installed by default in Gutsy.

Since you have feisty, try this workaround:
Type in terminal:
gedit $HOME/.themes/Moomex-Ultimatum/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

Find GLOSSY and replace with CLASSIC

Please report if this worked well with you.

Thank you Moomex that worked. I hope you keep working on this theme. Simply amazing work. I for one will never switch from it. some things I notice. amsn does not have darktheme that i can find..so when it loads in under this theme. the text in the menu logs are still white and blend in. outside of this I have not had any issues. By far with beryl glass. Best theme ever.

am really thankful for your comment and your feedback about amsn.
I personally don't use amsn but I will check the problem and hopefully I can fix it.

I found way to a somewhat good workaround in mean time. on ubuntu under the appearance then theme table go to custom button at bottom then go to color tab. You can change the color there of text. I
am using brighter gold color. works great and i can read note popups as well. this not only help with amsn with lil play of color matched my needs on my computer and couple friends using the theme. Best luck
and thank you for the theme.

Thank you, the theme looks nice now! I just had to update the latest gtk2-engines.

A few tiny color adjustments and this was exactly what I wanted. Added the Crashbit Icon theme and finally my desktop's dynamite (aside from a small inconsistency here and here).

Excellent theme. But the Main Menu icon does not show up in ubuntu 7.10. it still shows the ubuntu icon for the menu button.

install was successful and switching to theme was successful with no errors.

If anyone has a method of getting the main menu icon to work. please let me know..start icon in this them is awesome.

You have to set up the menu button manually.

System tools->configuration editor->Apps->Panel->Objects
Find the object where 'object-type' is equal to 'menu-object'
check 'use_custom_icon'
set the value of 'custom_icon' to the path of the button. ( In this case "$HOME/.themes/Moomex-Ultimatum/gtk-2.0/Panel/menu.png"

i'm using aurora engine and theme, ubuntu 7.10 and compiz fusion, see the opacity...

Report

I don't see your point. The opacity is caused by compiz fusion not by metacity.

That's why I wrote "don't know"
these themes things are just hebrew to me:D

But anyway, I like it a lot!
Your theme I meant.

I've used moomex themes for metacity purposes, window edges. they're nice.
but havent used for a whole theme, that job left to aurora :)

Moomex theme depends on Clearlooks engine . I think Aurora and Murrine are better engines than clearlooks and provide more options. The problem is these engines are not included by default in most distributions and therefore the theme won't be that much useful.

nice, but libnotify-bin popups are unreadable, becouse they are white on yellow background. why scrollbars are red?

Report

C

I couldn't change the white text colour for libnotify-bin. I guess I have to change the yellow background into something darker.

I know that the scrollbar does not match the theme very much and there are some bugs that am gonna fix it in the next release.

Very nice :)
Could it be possible to add more opacity to active windows borders (metacity)
and some highlight to close.minimize buttons???

Report

C

The metacity theme isn't final yet and highlight to close.minimize buttons was in mind but I couldn't wait to release the theme.

I think metacity does not support transparency. Maybe I will release an emerald theme.
