Description:

We arrived at 3 release of the theme for Gnome-Colors Cairo-Dock. There are many changes, a new configuration file, which makes the bar very similar to the macbar, I was inspired by her. The launchers are placed on the left, at the center are the applets, with the various controls of the home and right the listing process. Are present in all 3 indicators, two for the 3d visulizzation and a simple triangle on the 2d. The theme of the basket prepared by perfectska04 was replaced with that of .... Have fun with this new version, I hope it is appreciated =)

How To

1: Install the shiki-colors from this [thanks to perfectska04]: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/download.php?content=86717&id=3&tan=74932152
2: Install cairo-dock (sudo apt-get install cairo-dock or install from http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=8724
3:Install the dustbin themes
4: Extract the themes in ~/.config/cairo-dock/themes
5: Start cairo-dock and select the new theme from the menu.

V.2.1 - Fixed the indicator of the active windows. Added transparent background, it sound perfect with wallpapers and don't hide too much text if you are working on a maximized window.
V.2.5 Theme adapted to cairo-dock v2 and added new download link.
V.3 New cfg, indicator, new applet and more.

How does one make the trashcan/dustbin that was placed in the share folder appear in the dock? I'm assuming there is some way to make the empty/full images auto-switch via Configure, but I can't find how.

Hi!

I really like the dock, but I have a problem to activate the 3d lock. In configuration I can only choose 2d. Do you know a solution?

Sure, u have to use a composite manager like compiz or try with the metacity option:

open gconf-editor ? apps ? metacity ? general ? compositing_manager

Is it a concky or screenlet ?

I don't use screenlets, the pics that u see for cover is a plugin for rhythmbox called DesktopArt http://www.nedrebo.org/code/rhythmbox_desktop_art/

I discovered Cairo dock for myself a few days ago, and installed version 1.6.3.1. That's quite a high version number, but to me, the app seemed kind of rickety and unstable.

It's not well integrated with Gnome either, using a quite deep config dir at ~/.cairo-dock rather than gconf or ~/.gnome*.

Has anyone also else found it subpar?

mhh the new version use the config into .config/cairo-dock like all gnome apps. I can't understand why u think that is not integrated and stable. I think that it work perfect into gnome.

Yes I just see that all file are Ok, I take a time out error on Wise theme. I'm just re-upload this theme.

Let me know if link go, if not i'll change the hoster, I really hate Megaupload and All Flash site xD

Dude.. you rulez!!!

Why you and the other people that worked on "Shiki" don't make an all-in-one package that includes GTK-GDM-Icons-Metacity-Emerald themes and all the satellite project like this (i.e. concky color)?
