Description:

My first upload... Inspired by my favorite comics and the recent upsurge in the number of ksplash postings :-)

This one was created using the images from the official asterix homepage: http://www.asterix.tm.fr
I hope there won't be any copyright problems (I wrote to them about it, but didn't recieve any replies.. so I guess everything is fine)

Anywayz.. hope you guys enjoy this. Have fun!

I know about the Mobilix issue. Before creating this splash screen, I wrote to the Asterix company. Told them about the idea, asked them if this is alright. Later I sent them the splash screen. Mentioned it clearly that I'm not going to make any profit out of it... They never replied to my mails. So, I hope its fine.

After submitting this to kde-look, I wrote again. This time, I told them that if there are any problems, I shall withdraw the submission. Again, no replies.

Very funny and optimistic splash; Mosly the band below.

However: is it legal?

You know the company behind the series sued Mobilix (French mobil phone company) because the felt the name was too close to all the ix'es of the cartoon.

I collected all the Asterix books throughout the 70s and 80s and I only recently found out that one of either Uderzo or Goscinny has died :( My collection must be worth something now I guess? Sorry, my post is a little depressing :p
