I agree with what you say, but there are others who may not, so i myself would not have this as a splash screen reminding me of the 9/11 event every time i start KDE. It is well made though, perhaps someone might want to use it elsewhere :)

Getting back on topic... Its a good piece of work, well done.

I do not condone the killing on either side of the fence; but there is a fence and the people on each side have their own perspectives.
Comedy is a survival mechanism that allows us to deal with unpleasant situations. We laugh when somebody slips on a banana peel to relieve the angst caused by our inate empathic nature.
Satire is our way of dealing with distateful poilitics. If there's one thing this whole "war" is, it's distasteful. Something is rotten and it isn't in Denmark.

hey hey, I liked it much and i have put it as my splash-screen...well, it's too bad of course that too many ppl got killed because of it...however, it also reminds us a truth to respect everyone's sovereignity (including those "so called" axis-of-evil)....and nothing is forgranted protected (including the "superpower", if one calls so)!!

It's just satire FFS!!!

There are countless jokes in the American media about bombing arabs. Do you think it suprising that there are arabs joking about Americans being bombed?

Sure there were a lot of people killed when the WTC were bombed (the same as two weeks road toll), but it pales into insignificance compared to the number of arabs that have been killed by Americans.
If you can't take it don't dish it out!!!

I can't remember the exact story behind this picture but I do remember it was lifted from a news article.
There is nothing sinister about it. Well, unless you call satire sinister but if you do that you'll have to lock up all your political cartoonists.
Perhaps that is on Bush's agenda too.

I seem to be attracting a lot of negative votes. Are these political posturing or is there something wrong with the splash screen? (not politically wrong, I don't give a damn about your politics).

Before the WTC were destroyed taking countless live, it was believed by many the G. Bush would not last more than 6 months as president. Less if the investigations were pushed through. After the WTC, the investigations and attempt to prosecute Bush and his brother for voter fraud and more were put on the back burner, where the investigations suddenly disappeared or the evidence suddenly disappeared.

I can see both sides of this.

Some will see it as disrespectful of a painful event. And I can understand why.

Some will see it as a call to reality and justice. And I can understand why as well.

I must believe that the author of this had absolutely no intention of minimizing or disrespecting the pain and loss of others. So I believe it to be a call to reality.

None the less it is painful to look at. So many people's lives were taken.

Since you started a political discussion, I think you need to study the facts. You say that President Bush and his brother's prosecution was put on the back burner after this.

What prosecution? There was never any prosecution.

Please do not spew lies to try to swing people to your views.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." --Joseph Goebbels
