Description:

Here is a little script to Download and Encode Videos from Youtube.
Based on zenity, ffmpeg and xterm.
This is a port of the original project for KDE from "org" of GenTube at
http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/GenTube+%28+download+and+encoder+of+youtub?content=46998

You will find everything you need in the package (or on the site linked to it).

Thanks to Milouse for adding language support (and French translation as well) and correcting some errors around in the version 0.2!

something has changed in the youtube scripts... so I search what...
(the gentube creator too... so as soon as we have the correct script, we'll update our script.

Is great but all the script doesn't work. Is not just that, the youtube script I use isn't working either, I think that's for the update that youtube had yesterday.

What about a Python version of it, with PyGTK and maybe some other features (video informations, preview)?

Once you've download a video you can encode it to .avi or .mpg with your script?

ok now you can choose the ext of the video (and so ffmpeg behaviuor) by changing the first var at the very beginning of the script. No need to edit anything but the var! :)

as long as it uses ffmpeg you can do whatever you want. I set avi by default but you can just edit the script to fit your needs! :)
