System is Ubuntu 12.04 with gnome 3.4.1
The icons missing are:
- Firefox!
- Thunderbird!
- File System in Nautilus
- Trash
- Search Network in Nautilus
- No custom icon for starters. (Yes I do have them on desktop.
Please fix asap, then this is the most beautiful icon theme I've ever seen.

I just received your message. Thank you for getting in touch with me! But in the meantime, the problem is solved.
I have read all the comments with this problem, and there in the comments I found the Link to the glass-icons which are patched so that they are working for me now.
I followed this Link here to find the working icons:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=86629
So I had downloaded this solution yesterday night and can confirm, that the problem with these icons is more than solved.
Thanks everybody!!
For the end, I want to say: this is great artwork!! I love these Icons now!!
Greetings

I have the same problem with the Glass-Icons in Karmic Koala (ubuntu 9.10). There the icons even do not work!!
The defective icons are the folder-icons as well as the user paper basket.
How to fix this?
Please help me.
Greetings

You can use the latest version of the icon theme via svn. (You should remove old versions.)
Open a terminal and execute these commands: (for this you need svn aka subversion. In Ubuntu type this "sudo apt-get install subversion")
cd ~/.icons
svn co https://glass-theme.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glass-theme/tango-icons/trunk/Glass glass-icons
Maybe you must restart Gnome, but then you can use the new icons. This should work very well.
You can keep it up to date with:
cd ~/.icons/glass-icons
svn update

I really like this icon theme. I have one problem with it now though: the icon for folders is not showing up correctly, I get an icon that looks like a sheet of paper now.

Using firefox 3.0,
you may create link from firefox-icon.svg to firefox-3.0.svg to enable the firefox icon.
Hope other system icons will be glass-like !!!
p.s. I am using Ubuntu 8.04, and it's great for desktop system.

Your theme is great!
I have found a link about the standard icon names: http://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-naming-spec/latest/ar01s04.html
I think a lot of icons must be renamed, e.g media-flash, media-floppy, ...
I'm going to check this.

http://stefan315.st.funpic.de/tmp/glass-icons-fixer.bash
You must download it and set the execute-privilege.
It uses the folder ~/.icons/glass-icons, where is a copy of the theme, if you installed it via Gnome.

~/icons/glass-icons exists... no
I don't really quite understand what it means by:
You must have installed "glass-icons" in ~/.icons/glass-icons
Thanks for any help :-)

Download the tar.gz-archive from this site.
Extract the archive and copy the folder glass-icons to /home/<username>/.icons
(All folder with . at the beginning are hidden, you must press [CTRL] + [H] in nautilus to see all files)
Run my script.
Now you can move the folder from /home/<username>/.icons/glass-icons to /usr/share/icons/glass-icons. (You must be root)
/usr/share/icons = theme for all accounts on the pc
/home/<username>/.icons = theme ist only for <username> available

After testing the whole evening, I found out that the whole directory structure and the theme-file should be created from start. The icon theme inherits the gnome theme but that one is a lot different.
This workaround made me happy:
Create some links in /usr/share/icons/glass-icons/scalable/filesystems/
- folder.svg -> /usr/share/icons/glass-icons/scalable/filesystems/gnome-fs-directory.svg
- user-trash-full.svg -> /usr/share/icons/glass-icons/scalable/filesystems/gnome-fs-trash-full.svg
- user-trash.svg -> /usr/share/icons/glass-icons/scalable/filesystems/gnome-fs-trash-empty.svg
And leave the index.theme untouched.
Dear developer(s): Please update the package. And (please²): Trash that 0.3 thing and rather make 0.2 perfect. The old icons look MUCH better.
