Good work, but make sure that you align your icons to the pixel grid in inkscape so lines don't turn out blurry (ex. the text mimetype icons). Make sure that your 1px lines aren't on top of a grid line, but between two grid lines.

I'm not sure what system and Gnome version you made/based this theme on, but I pretty much only get functioning directory icons, everything else is replaced by the GNOME theme's icons.
I'm on FC5, Gnome 2.14
I took a peek at your icons, and my guess is that you filed them "wrong".

you should change the Inherits= line in your index.theme to include Tango.

I had the same problem, this solved it..

Okay, i got it fixed now..
I love the theme, but as someone else said, the navigation icons are kind of ugly..
VERY nice theme though!

hmmm... if most of you really don´t like the arrows, i´m going to change it altough i wanted a different look to tango icons

Yes, I agree with them, the navigation icons really dont sit that well with the rest of the theme. IMHO it is the outside shape, I think we all associate that outline with a stop sign.

Maybe you could just change the outline shape to a circle, or maybe remove it all together. Just a thought.

PS: A revamped trash icon is a must, the default trash icons has very dull colors.

Could you use all the Tango icons as a base and then one by one modify them?
Because i hate the default icons for gnome-terminal and etc. and it's the only thing keeping me away from this otherwise lovely icon-theme!

yes i only use tango icons as a base

But why are all the other icons the regular gnome icons then?
Ex: My terminal icon is the ugly gnome icon..

I like your icon theme, even if Windows' Vista's icon look seems an obvious inspiration - but the new arrow icons seem to be too brightly colored, making them harder to recognize.

i idn´t want to make vista-like icons. i rather wanted the icons to look like tango look and colors.
today evening i´m going to make the arrow background a bit darker

I'm happy to hear that you acted on my suggestion, as far as darker arrows go. As for the Windows Vista reference, I only meant the shape and overall look of the directory icons - As far as I know, Microsoft's Vista icon-pack introduced folders "standing up" (which seems like an idiotic attempt at making it look original, but perhaps that's just me). Keep up the good work.
