here it is - http://www.motyr.5gigs.com/deKorator/0.2-themes/clearLook1-theme.tar.gz
i just port the deco and use some other deKorator theme buttons but it feat's nice, the only problem is that is somewaht hard to resizw the window because the border is 1 pix, but i'll have a fix for that in the next deKorator release...

any way i saw some very nice clearlooks deco's on gnome-look if i'll find some time i'll port them by tomorrow

In KDE 3,5 in Slackware 10.2, with version KlearLook 0.9.7, the programs in the taskbar blink (they disappear and they appear quickly, with the same effect if it closed the program and it opened of new) when clicked in them, as much using "classic" or "elegante" style.

In KDE 3,4 it did not have no problem.

And with this problem, when return for any another style of the KDE, it also is affected for the problem, having that to restart the KDE.

Great work, very nice theme, but I have one request, the combo boxes (like konquerors location bar) is too narrow, and letters that underhang, like 'g,p,j' have the bottom of the letter cut off.
If you could make the combo box a little taller, this would be absolutely perfect!
Again, great work!

Plastik, than anything I can think of.

That's because Plastik looks quite a bit like Clearlooks

Is there a way to add an up arrow at the bottom of the slider like in other styles? It's more convenient, you don't have to go all the way up with your mouse when you scrolled down just to press that up button.

Hi,

Gnome Folks changed the OK/Cancel button order at Gnome 2.0. I don't mind in which order these buttons are but I hate if the order changes when using a mixture of KDE and GTK applications on the same desktop. Sometimes, I just click the wrong button. If there is a simple way in QT/KDE styles (QT/KDE is usually more flexible than GTK/Gnome) a configuration option to change the button order to GTK default would be very nice.

Btw.: My eclipse installation has drawing erros with the original Clearlooks theme engine but draws fine with the combination of Klearlook + GTK-QT (for gtk) theme engines.

Great work!

For other people who try to get a unified desktop I can recommend to try the combination of Klearlooks, GTK-QT engine (for gtk), Clearlooks color theme and nuoveXT icon theme (for KDE and Gnome).

Cheers,
Christian

Or if the nuoveXT theme isn't to your liking there's alwyas Crystal SVG, Tango, GNOME-mix, Noia, Nuvola...

First I would like to say that I love your port of clearlooks to kde.

I also would like to point out that the location bar(in Konqueror) cuts off the top and bottom of taller icons.

It also would be nice if there was an option to have less of a gradient difference between the menu and toolbar (so the menu gradient is only slightly darker or the same gradient as the toolbar). An option for menus to match the menu bar gradient would be nice as well (instead of just white).

Just some suggestions. Thanks for you work :).

IMHO this style is a great step towards desktop integration.

The two big problems I see are:
- colors: they are still so different from the standard version of clearlooks.. The menubar, the background of menus, the button gradient..

- more spacing: the gnome style has big widgets ! It would be a real innovation to port big buttons and spaces to the kde world.

In the meantime, thank you, and if you need some manpower, let me know..

Thanks for implementing my suggestions so quickly!!! :)

One small note.. I noticed a little graphic glitch on the address bar of konqueror when I resize its width.. its farily subtle and I can supply a screenshot if needed (not sure if anyone else is experiencing it?)

First off.. I really enjoy you 'porting' the theme.. I actually like it better than plastic (the subtle gradients are nice). One thing I'd like to see revised though is the text inputs, more specifically the drop down type (such as the address bar in konqueror, etc). They seem to outlined compared to the rest of the theme, and IMO stand out too much.

It would also be nice if you could add a line under the menu options, but not under the toolbars.. but this is much just a personal request.

Oh, and lastly, if the lines in statusbar could be set as an option to be lighter (similar to plastik) or even removed (similar to lipstik), that would be nice as well.

In the configuration dialog, I have to set the 'Menubar and toolbar border level' to 'Dark' in order to get no border, so I guess the options 'Dark' and 'None' are switched.

Apart from that: I like the style very much! (And it fits very well with my Firefox and Thunderbird that use the default Gtk2 look with Clearlooks.)

In Clearlook the buttons are a bit sunken. I would really like to have such a feature in this style too. BTW, are you planning to make Klearlook look exactly like Clearlook?

It's a eye-candy (for me) ;-) !
The basecolor is used for toolbar-, dialogs-, windows-, etc backgrounds.
The menubar is a little bit darker. And the popup menu becomes more, more lighter. When you choose a "light" basecolor, then menubar is white. If you choose a darker basecolor, the menubackground becomes a very light version of this color.
