Description:

Lancelot is an ALI (application launcher interface) for KDE 4 designed to provide a place from which all your jobs begin. It provides quick access to applications, places, documents, contacts and system information.

It is a part of KDE since 4.2, so you should have it in your distribution's package repository. It should be in kdeplasma-addons package.

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING:

I almost *never* check the comments here

I have version:
Qt: 4.4.1
KDE: 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0)
Lancelot: 1.0.0

When I run it in Mandriva the background is transparent and the text is black. This makes it almost impossible to use. Is there a way I can change the theme?

Do you mean that there is no theme applied? If yes, then update L from the latest SVN. (and check if it installs a bunch of svg or svgz files)

I can't make the 'applet parts' work. When i drag&drop something there only appears a text file icon on panel/desktop.

That's what is in the text file:

model=Devices%2FFixed&type=list&version=1.0

Of course it depends on what kind of thing i drag and drop from lancelot menu.

Something's wrong with the installation - do you have the menu which allows you to choose what applet you want to use to display the dropped data?

I've just found out that i can create applet parts from items marked with green and purple as described on:

http://lancelot.fomentgroup.org/docs:basic-parts

So the blue parts of lancelot are the problem for me.

When the application for a project at sf passes, you'll have the sources available for download from there.
