my first try at openkiosk was using mandriva I have tried again using Kubuntu - failed again for different reasons but there is an openkiosk forum at sourcefourge.net and some very helpfull comments on the ubuntu formum (this got me to the point of compiling the server but it still won't run)

I have tired several times to compile the server (after installing the berkeley DB libraries). Each time the ./configure script runs fine but make just produces a long string of errors starting 5 line in with src/XmlRpcValue.h:12:16: error: map: No such file or directory
it then continues for pages!
anyone got any ideas how to make this software work.

This software has a really bright future. But still, I have some comments about it. On my small ltsp network it just doesn't work. I can't login into the client. And NodeView seems to have outdated information of client. Also when I try to send an message to client, NodeView replies with an error: Check network connection.
Support is very poor. Is there a forum or a mailing list where OpenKiosk users could discuss their views?
Keep up the good work xynopsis.

Hi,

I tried to install it under SuSE 9.3 but it didn't work because of a missing Berkeley DB.
I installed the DB but it seems, that SuSE doesn't put it in /usr/local/...
Does anyone know, what I have to do, to get it working?

Greetings

Chris

Is that theme running on kde 3.3 or later? If so where can I get it?

It's keramik. Should be included with any KDE 3.x version.

I didn't ask what it was, I know full well which theme it is. I asked if it was running on KDE 3.3+.

this looks great xynopsis. Perhaps you could better submit this at KDE-apps.org [1] as this is more an app. No?

The section KDE Improvements is shared between KDE-Look and KDE-Apps.

So maybe he even submitted it to KDE-Apps.
