At the moment I have a quite terrible problem with some KDE applications. Some of them need root access to setup some configuration on the system (that is ok) and then they try to save some things in my home directory (that is NOT ok) cause when I'm authenticated as root I have no more access to my home directory. Most of you will now think "root has always access to users home" but that's not right. Not when your home directory is on another server.
And here is also another improvement for KDE *please* do not try a "stat" on directorys in /afs or maybe add an option where people can disable "stat" on some directorys ;)
