Description:

This Simbol(Yin-Yang) represents the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work. The outer circle represents "everything", while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white), which cause everything to happen.

While "yin" would be dark, passive, downward, cold, contracting, and weak, "yang" would be bright, active, upward, hot, expanding, and strong.

I think that this would make a great bootsplash screen... like a great background for Grub when it boots... especially for systems that dual boot linux and windows...
But then again...
That's just me...

... Actually, you've put windows logo on the white side... Bright, active, upward, hot, expanding, and strong?

On the other hand, Windows *is* expanding - one needed about 50 Mb to install '95, now one needs 15 Gb (not insluding the swap). It makes your HDD spin as crazy while swapping, so it's active. And it makes your CPU hot as hell. Not sure abouut "upward" and "strong" though...

windows is on the black dot - lame, evil
on the white side - expanding, (makes CPU) hot as blaster999 explained, but it is also strong (tough on hardware), upward (against user)

Linux is on the white dot - hot (slang), expanding, upward, strong, good
on the black side - cool (slang),...you get the picture

be optimistic.

Linux can well exist without Windows. And, of course, there are way more operating systems, several of which are NOT based on Unix or DOS.
