For those who love the scriptures...and those who see design in the universe such as:
Paul Davies (British astrophysicist): "There is for me powerful evidence that there is something going on behind it all....It seems as though somebody has fine-tuned nature’s numbers to make the Universe....The impression of design is overwhelming".
George Greenstein (astronomer): "As we survey all the evidence, the thought insistently arises that some supernatural agency - or, rather, Agency - must be involved. Is it possible that suddenly, without intending to, we have stumbled upon scientific proof of the existence of a Supreme Being? Was it God who stepped in and so providentially crafted the cosmos for our benefit?"
Done in the Gimp. "Eagle Nebula" in frame on Omega nebula background.

I would probably say, as an aestetic little nit-bit, Tim, you might want to try to blur the border between the subject and the black background on the inset picture a bit (it distracts a bit that it's got such a sharp border on an otherwise soft motif).

Though I don't agree with your ideas, I liked the wallpaper. Its good! You know, I prefer dark backgrounds on my desktop, since they are soft on eyes. This one is just right.
By the way, I would use a text like "Heavens declare the glory of nature" :-) well, thats a matter of different views.

However I'm not sure the blueish drop shadow on the smaller pic is right.
However I'm no art critic. :-)

I know what you mean. I debated the drop shadow. I might try redoing it with one that is more transparent.
Thanks for the encouragement...

Actually, the line is a portion of Psalms 19:1 and 2; "The heavens declare the Glory of God, the skys proclaim the works of His hands".
When a Christian looks at these things, we don't just see "stuff"; we see the majesty and power of God...and it is all meant to point back to God, the One who made us.
Again, thanks.

Usually when we talk of something being glorified, we're referring to an entity, which would suggest that Nature is an entity. I honestly believe personifying nature is irrational, but then, I guess atheists believe the notion of any all-high intelligence is irrational as well.

I'm not sure if you're being facetious here, so I'll reply to your statement at face value:
Maybe the contributor is saying that nature as a whole (the universe, as you say) is an all-high intelligence.
All things are connected.
