Pack of 14 scripts (in english and français):
Alerter (alert): a simple programmable alarm so you do not forget an event,
Comparer (compare): easily compares two files or directories with Meld,
Decueper (cu-e-t): cuts an CD-audio image with cue sheet into its tracks and rename them,
Editer (edit): edits one or several file(s), whatever they are, with the editor of your choice and, if you want, as root,
Info (Info): displays some important informations about hardware and system,
IP (IP): searches and displays your public IP address,
Lister (list): generates a detailed catalog of selected files or directories,
Nettoyer (clean): eliminates traces of system and multiple applications,
Ouvrir (open): easily selects an application to open a file,
Prop (properties): displays the properties of an audio or video file,
Sauver (save): creates backup copies of important files and folders,
Scanner (scan): easily scans files or directories with Clam antivirus,
UltraCP & UltraMV (UltraCopy & UltraMove): copys or moves files and folders with Ultracopier, that acts as a replacement for files copy dialogs.
Main features include play/pause, speed limitation, on-error resume, error/collision management... (see http://ultracopier-fr.first-world.info/)
Alerter (alert), Info, IP, Nettoyer (clean) and Sauver (save) can be directly launched from the desktop (no need to use Nautilus).
You can use them with Gnome 3 and other desktops like xfce (you don't like last versions of Ubuntu? Use Xubuntu!)
