Description:

This screenlet gives you access to your GMail contacts right on your desktop! Just enter you Gmail address (with the @gmail.com part) and password into the screenlet's settings. This screenlet will work for all Gmail users however it will work far better for those who have contact groups defined. It even downloads your contact's photos for display by their name.

NOTE: In order to use this screenlet you NEED to have the Python Gdata library version 1.2.4 or higher.
If you are running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) you are all set!
If you are running Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) or earlier you will need to install the following package:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/22499285/python-gdata_1.2.4-0ubuntu1_all.deb
If you use another distribution you will need to obtain a suitable package for your distribution.

As always, let me know what you think. I've got a rather large TODO list for this screenlet and I'm always open to feature requests. I'd also like to hear if you find any bugs.

Enjoy :)

Do you have contact groups within Gmail contacts?

Can you send me a screenshot of your Gmail contacts window so I can see what you *should* be seeing?

Also, a screenshot of what the screenlet shows would be helpful too.

Please send to hernejj@gmail.com
