Description:

This is my first attempt at designing a theme/style/windec... Does anyone know if this kind of thing is possible? If any programmer out there is interested in putting this together, I'd be more than happy to work with you. I have the source files in Illustrator format on my Mac at work, and will post them if anyone shows interest.
Last changelog:

Great job, it's one of the best things I have seen! I hope it will be done soon... Would you give it a name?

I've been toying around with some name ideas, but haven't really come up with anything I like... It kinda reminds me of the metallically coated plastic that's appearing in a lot of auto parts and electronics, lately... I can't really think of a name to reflect that, very well, though... ideas, anyone?

Urban Stream is the suggestion from this corner :) Direct from the same mind that came up with Reinhardt (i.e. not me :) Alex, who came up with the name and the look). It came out of the realization that it's kind of urban, and with it being a bit aquaish (though, as noted before, not too much), a stream. So calm, but still urban and modern. Very nice :)

I would also say that what was mentioned somewhere, that the style looks a bit too round. I do not see that as a problem, I rather find it very aestetically pleasing. Thank you for the idea, and hope it gets put into action :)

Great idea :) Looks to me like a nice mix between Baghira and Plastik. Although... I would go for a smaller title bar.

I'd like to make some variations on this that could be used to make a more minimalist, or 'lite' version, for those that don't want much distraction... I'm thinking smaller title bar, thinner margins for the windec, more squarish buttons, etc...

I like the style very much, as it is a good mixture of WinXP/MaxOSX... but it's somehow original and good basis. Keep on styling!

PS. Can you make the "source" files availible?

The source files are there, now. Feel free to run with it. I've made it available in 3 formats. If anyone needs me to convert to additional formats (listed in the changelog), let me know, and I'll do so.

Actually, I'd say this has a number of sources of inspiration. It's based on a Flash/ActionScript GUI app that I made some time ago, which was, in part, inspired by the default Mozilla 'Modern' theme, Macintosh OS X, and a smattering of other ideas -- some of which are entirely my own (the alpha blended darkening of the scrollbars, progressbars, title bar, etc.[at least I'd never seen any other style doing this before, but I could be wrong :-) ])

Well if he makes it so that the buttons change color like the glow style/win-dec for KDE it will be pretty cool looking ! It already looks nice to me though.

I've never made a style/theme before, but I kind of want to try so if you'd like to talk, write me an email: jl672 at bard.edu. Like I said though, never done this kind of thing before, but I'm really bored at the moment so I'll give it a whirl.

Lol this isnt a little project u can get done with in an hour.
This takes lots and lots of skill and knowledge to make somthing like this...This prolly takes several weeks at the least to make
heck i dont even know where to begin!
but good idea hopfully some one will have enough skill to make this possible

I tend to agree... This one's probably going to require someone that already has a bit of experience in this area, (one of the reasons why I'm not yet prepared to take it on all by my lonesome.)
