Description:

Tried to make very realistic vista-like theme. Enjoy!

P.S.- adjust your blur plugin settings a bit, to make it look better. My settings are:
blur shader - linear 21x21
non nfo blur strength - 4
saturation - 100
(put ticks everywhere else here)

Yeah, I can see that Linux should have a different appearance than vista, but I think that people should and can do what they want (isn't that the idea?). Just for the fun of it, I sometimes set my computer up to look nearly perfectly like Vista or 7, but tell people that it an alpha version of Windows 8. I then proceed to amaze them with how well everything runs and cool it makes nearly everything you do.
On top of all that, I have found that many people shy away from non-microsoft things simply because it is so unfamiliar to them... what's wrong with making the environment as familiar as possible?
My final point here is that Vista-clone items seem to be fairly popular on here, so obviously it is a common desire to make Linux look like Vista, and the beauty of it is that we are free to do so.

Great theme! But I think that we all could do with more unique themes rather than clones of other OS skins. Good job at the cloning though! :D

I'm not against this artist's work. He's very talented.

But Vista? In linux?

Sorry but someone has to stand up for Linux.

You are wrong.
It's not Vista in Linux, it's just Linux.
You can change whatever you want, but Linux can't change.
I'm agaist those people who are closed minded in this way:
you can put in Linux a vista or a mac theme, but Linux won't change!
You can love how Linux works using a skin, what's the matter?

At the name part of folders, programs etc, there is a character like squares inside square instead of "space character".

rather then just talking like that .. why dont just show your own work .. and show us how talent you ve got !!

Why does everyone have to copy Windoze?
I agree that vista's glass theme is nice, but why not make your own (even better) theme!

Actually not so easy to make a nice new theme, it's easyer to copy ;-)

Don't take it the wrong way, this is a nice copy.

Heck, an accurate copy of another system's look isn't so easy either. I'll admit, I wouldn't use this, but it is accurate, and looks nice.

Basically "windows look" is not a problem for me, it looks quite nice. But the problem is that there is billions od vista themes (more or less looking like vista) ;)
Shouldn't vista themes makers cooperate and make one and good vista theme? That's what microsoft workers usually do, they cooperate ;)
