by searching in ~/.tremulous or other games , and build a single picture with the gimp.

Thats a cool idea but I personally prefer a natural skymap

yeah, but it's also harder to make. beryl doesn't use a cube environment like most video games, so you have to use 4 times the same picture for ground and sky.
In this case it's not so visible but with a more realistic picture it's very difficult !
