Any plans to update this for plasma 5? Would be hugely appreciated.

As a heavy GMail user this is one of the most useful Plasmoids I've ever stumbled into and certainly one of the first things I install in my KDE SC systems.
I'm currently packaging it for Arch and Chakra and probably will do the same for openSUSE once I'm familiarized with that distro.

I'm working on kubuntu 11.10, I installed both your google tasks widgets (simple and advanced) but for each of them I get the following error: the widget shows my tasks, but appears like a small square on the desktop and I'm unable to read correctly its content since its too small

PS: great idea anyway!

This widget seems really great - exactly what I was looking for...

Unfortunately it does not come back up correctly every time I logout and log back in

Here's what "$plasma-desktop --version" gives me:

Qt: 4.7.4
KDE Development Platform: 4.7.3 (4.7.3)
Plasma Desktop Shell: 0.4

First of all, I must say this plasmoid is just great.

But for some reason I can't open the drop-down menus in GTasks.

Actions button, for example does not work at all. It seems like a focus issue from where I'm standing.

Every time I turn the computer on, I have to enter mail address, password, and the verification code generated by mobile application even if I check the "Remember me" box.

Any ideas?

Asking code verification every time makes me suspect that it is another problem with some other software or a overly paranoid security setting in gmail.

Every time I turn the computer on, I have to close and insert the plasmoid again. Maybe you can make a connect button?

thoughts on changing the tray icon to a monochrome icon style (or at least having the option)?

It seems white is the new black ;)
As I said above, patches accepted.

Can you add the ability for this plasmoid to be included in System Tray?

So far this plasmoid is amazing and something I've always looked for. Thanks for all your hard work.

Thanks :)
How could I forget this feature? It's a one-liner change and it does not even involve code. Check v1.3.

Hi again,

some more constructive criticism :)

If when I start the desktoop there is no network, the plasmoid won't show anything, of course...but it won't show anything ever after (that meaning, not even if I get connected to internet after a minute). It would be nice if it reloaded itself every now and then (this probably comes handy in all kinds of mobile devices).

Greetings!!

Hi,

I tried adding the new version of the plasmoid...and now it's so big that it takes up my entire screen :D So, for me it's not usable right now :( I tried scaling it down but it cannot be scaled down to the size it used to be.

Greetings!!

Sorry about that. I could verify that the panel and network fixes do not work in KDE 4.4.5. That Plasma-Desktop version is very buggy. I suggest to upgrade KDE.

A workaround:
Create a launcher for `plasmoidviewer org.orbitalibre.google-tasks` and put it in the panel.

I followed your instructions in the comments and it worked great. I had to login from Konqueror and save the cookies first, then used command line to install the Google Tasks plasmoid. All I had to do after that was drag and drop the widget to the desktop.

It would be really helpful to others if you could add the instructions in the description.

I would like to see a thin border maybe, just to tie it in the Plasma themes of KDE. I also wish it had the toggle feature of the browser plasmoid widget so I can hide and view the Google Tasks right from the KDE panel.

Thanks for this nice widget!

It now turns into an icon in panel. The popup features a themed border as well.
